Julie,
Generally males mature faster than females , with darts too...kidding. Tinc males can start calling and be ready to breed anywhere from a month or two , to quite a few months before the females are ready to breed. I would have huts in with them right now. It won't hurt. Any idea exactly how old they are?
Temps should be mid 70's or so and yes , it seems your thermom could be broken.
You really should keep feeding them a decent amount all the way through breeding. It is only when you want to cycle them down from breeding , to give them a break, that food and misting should be tapered down.
Read up. Make sure you know who you are reading though because just as anything else in life, consider the source. There's just as much bad info out there as there is good.
