i can't explain all of it because I am not a moderator at this particular forum but there is a system of in place that helps prevent abuse. I can't say that there won't be any, which is when you get a Mod involved and hopefully it will be taken care of there. Trust me, it is well worth it, because will discipline others that will not follow the rules because they care about the site. The draw back is that there are those who are too anal and will give rep points for something as simple as a double post. But in some ways it is a good idea and would help the site stay structured. Problems can be taken care of and investigated by the leaders on this site and choose the fate of others and the rep points. I have seen and watched this happen to me for the last year or so and it seems to work well. Trust me I had a serious problem where my +27 points went to red. I was more than pissed off because it was given to me by a moderator, but the owner saw it took care of it and I haven't had the issue again. Your moderators are the ones who look into this stuff and help control good and bad stuff. I can see your concern but there might come a time when it is needed.
