Just to add to the moss subject it's alway good to get the live tropical where it does not have a dormant stage. The type of moss here in North America is similar to that of the tropics but the down fall is that it has to have a dromant stage or it will die eventually. Also to add another way to get plants that you know that doesn't have any pesticide or harmful persticide is nursuries that are organic meaning no chemicals what so ever. I'm lucky that I have aunts that have bromeliad galore with no treatments.
