Being in this type of hobby many people feel that bloodlines are very important and that it matters where their frogs have come from.... My Sincere question is that does it really matter to a frogger where their frogs originated from? Or the more imporatant issue is the health and well being of the frog? I truly believe that I would have to give the greatest credit to the rain forest. Please give your honest opinion on this and there should not be a right or wrong answer. Thanks members.....
p.s. I do commend the breeders out there that don't cross breed and keep the lines pure... -Angeles |

One aspect of "lines" that gets passed over a lot of times is quality. Some lines are just healthier than others. Also, some "lines" themselves could be morphs (sometimes we know the lines, but aren't sure if the different lines are from the same population).
Now, when people keep lines of frogs such as azureus, that is just line breeding and not in the best interest of the hobby due to turnover and rates of people losing their entire collections. |

Since we are on the topic of bloodlines. When you breed frogs do you look for a certain characteristic that you want the babies to come out with? Like fuller bands or bigger blotches of black for instance. I know line breeding is looked upon in this hobby. So breeding these frogs like leopard geckos is a NO?
