Default Can less dominate frogs be intimidated by a frog in an adjacent tank?

Hey folks, I have two of my pumilio tanks side by side. The sides are covered with GS, but there are a few places where the glass is clear. I was wondering, can less dominate frogs be intimidated by a frog in an adjacent tank?

Your thoughts,

BTW-Notice the difference in condensation on the glass. The one on the left is completely covered and the one on the right has a 1" vent on the top at the front. Both have humidity of 90+%. Just a lil experiment. The glass stays clear on the tank on the right.

Default siamese fighting fish

If betta fish yes but I'm pretty sure that intimidation comes from the form of physical abuse. They should be fine though. And yes if you have vents at the front it will stay clear... Good Job

As for intimidation from other frogs in an adjacent tank, I think maybe a little. But because like Socaled says there needs to be physical contact to cause any real damage. In most cases they will "just get over it" and go about their normal little froggy life.Juts my opinion

I was just a little curious, because the male El Dorado wont even go to that side of the tank when he hears the male Cayo calling. And the Cayo calls all day! Heeze beast, and there are two females in with him. He stays busy. They El Dorado is paired up and I don't think the female is putting out yet.

Can't wait till the day they start doing the dirty dirty but if you can record that courting ritual that would be awsome Marc. Good luck with the husbandry

I purchased them as proven, and I found a few clutches. I believe there is a few tads in there somewhere.

Yes, if you have a 55 gallon tank with glass dividers between the sections and it is not blackened out. The frogs can easily stress each other out. Of course some males or even females can be more dominant than others, but this is just in my opinion. It's like the frog thinks the other side is their territory as well. Any stress related issues can cause intimidation and other related issues. Now from a stand point of being across the room, probably not.
