For those of you with NO automated misting system, whats stopping you?

Price? The types of systems available? Color of fittings? Just like to hand mist?

I would like to hear back from anyone

Thanks!

I have three misting systems, none of which are set up yet. I plan to set mine up when I finalize exactly where my tanks are going to be located in my frog room. While I do enjoy hand misting my tanks to ensure everything gets wet, the process can become tiresome.
I plan to post pics when all my setups are done.

LOL I don't have one yet due to the fact that I rarely mist my tanks, but I will have a huge misting system when I get my greenhouse up and running. Unfortunately it might be a few years before that happens.

I only have one tank so no real need for one. I don't mind hand misting.

Well for me it would be the price. I am pretty good at researching and figuring out what i need. I usually like to get the best but i figure I can find something relatively cheap but effective. Currently i have 1 rack witch 7 Viv's on it. 2 30's and the rest are exo's(12x12x18). One question I have is i have seen the "No drip" system and even seen it in action and still notice it does drip but not as much as others. Is it a good investment or a waste of money?

I wish I had the money to buy a good one. A good misting system will be great to have for many years to come even if you add tanks in the future....

I have a fogger in my 55 gallon and I hand mist it, and I have a 24/7 drip system in my 55 with an almost solid glass top so humidity stays up high. I always mist the frog poop off the brom leafs and fill the broms. Every few days.

Hey Nick. If you allow a little ventilation, your humidity will prob still stay close to 100% with that drip wall. I have a 2" vent across the front of all my tanks and my humidity still stays close to 100%. And I do not have any type of water feature, auto misting, or the like.
Just a thought.
