Default newbie at sexing D.azureus

Helloooo guys...Great forum.
Im from the UK but we dont have very many good forums....anyway,

I have two azureus darts.
How do i tell the diffrence in the sex's??
one is i lil bit bigger then the other with more black spots!

cheers for any info(i did do a search but no results came back)

The toe pads are a sure give-away. The males front toe pads are noticeably larger than the females.
I will post a few pic later (if no one beats me to it)

Phil,

Sexing is pretty difficult if the frogs are young....like, under 1 year old. It's almost impossible for froglets and juveniles.

What age are your Azureus?

If you don't know....compare them to a coin.....uh....an...."American" coin that is...lol

Dendrobate Azureus & setup - Reptile Forums UK

This is them before i bought them.
i would say thay are about 1inch in lenth..1 slightly smaller than the other

Phil,

Your seller portrayed them as born @ Feb 2009.

That sounds about right.

Feed them well and look to early 2010 for a chance at determining sex. You won't be dissapointed with that species. They are some of my favourite of all my different species.

Def NOT mating behaviour as they are not sexually mature.

Probably not even aggression....

Sometimes dart frogs just bump into and climb onto each other...
