It has to be really wet. It grows like vrazy if you make sure there is plentyof light and moisture. Maybe try putting a T5 of UC over your tank and see if that makes a difference. I use UC's and the tanks that have em look so much better. The plants really do well with the brighter light.

BTW-HD has T5's for $30.

Default riccia...

I think you mean riccia yeah you really don't need a uv bulb just a simple 15 or 20 watt 6500k bulb. Riccia is hardy but they can also wither and die if not kept properly. Keep it moist at all time and it's best if it's in water. If you need more just pm me I have plenty for fellow froggers in Socal.

If your Riccia is dying you could need better lighting. What is you kelvins level. Plants will grow well under 65k and 67k. Both will do great for growing plants and are really cheap. You can buy at any Home supply store for like 10-12 bucks for 2. UV isnt really nessesary, actually they are doin research on wether or not UV has any benefit on PDF's.Hope this helps

Although I am unsuccessful with growing moss inside Vivs, I grow moss outside very well. LOL Here's an amazing site that might help you out. Moss - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
