Hey guys (and girls),
I'm new here and stumbled across dart frogs a few days ago. I think that it would be super awesome to have a couple a of beauties. I have been keeping a 30 gallon reef tank for a year now it it has been fun. My little cousin came down with her white's tree frog which really got me interested in doin PDFs. As for setting up a vivarium it seems like there are a lot of different ways to do them particularly the substrate setup. It seems like it make the most sense to me to have a false bottom to drain all the water out from mistings. I want to go with a pair of frogs that are active and like to climb. I think that would bring some more dimension to the tank if they were way up high and not just on the ground. Would a 20 high be a good place to start? also if I do a false bottom what kind of dirt should I use? on top of the dirt I was thinking of doing live moss and patches of dried leaves. Any help would be much appreciated. -outpost- |
