You need to cover all of it - or at least 90%.....
Any of the small "Terrarium" plants that are avialable at your local plant nursery are probably fine...no biggie....

Just to further clarify, you don't need to cover the entire top with "glass". Like Phil stated ventilation is not a bad thing, especially for the plants, however if you only cover 90% with glass you do need to cover the other 10% with screen to prevent escapes (both frogs and feeder insects) Probably goes without saying but just wanted to make sure it was clarified.
