Default Bean Beetle Cultures

I have noticed that some PDF keepers have been feeding their PDFs bean beetles. Does any one have any input on using Bean beetle Cultures. How does their nutritional value compared to FFs and crickets?

I appreciate everyone here. Without you, there would be no DFF. Thank you for your support.

I am not sure of the nutritional value but i do know it is good to give you PDF's a variety in their diet. One thing i know is that Patricia wont take crickets after 3 to 4 months old. They just loose interest or something. I feed my frogs ,FF(both melano and hydei) Springtails and pineheads. Pineheads are really fatty so i would think beetles would have alot of protein and fat.Dont quote me , just an opinion.

Agree with sam A varied diet is good for your PDF because you try to mimic the wild. It's not like they have FF's for BLD....

They are actually pretty good for your darts. I have been breeding them for awhile now as a supplement feeder. They have soft bodies and they breed over and over again under right conditions. What I have learned they have a good calcium ratio, but I want more evidence on this. Springtails are much better and not invasive. The problem with them is this, they are an invasion species insect. There is no law as of now, that I am aware of that says that you can not have or ship them but don't be surprise that they will in the future.
