Gs is about $8 and the silicone was probably $5. I did all three sides and part of the bottom, also covered all the glass with black silicone before foaming. I may have over exagerated a little, but I would say 6 cans of GS and 8 tubes of silicone, plus tax. I guess to be fair, I also covered my 18x18x36 exo (50g) for about $50 with cork bark, which is less than I have previously guessed. Thanks for making me think about it, something I should have done before I made my previous post.

I too did not think about the sides or bottom. I don't normally silicone the back before GS either. I did silicone the front and sides to cover the false bottom (kicking myself for that one, now I can't tell what my water level is.)

I will have to find me some of this contact paper. (The one I covered was my first build, so I am learning.) Nook Shneer is pretty much nothing but when said very loud amuses me. It was created while climbing seneca rocks in WV. The google results are one of the other fella's that was there that weekend.

Other than online (cheapest) the big craft stores have it......Michaels ect
I think more and more hobbyists are going away from GS. I think GS had it's hayday several years ago courtesy of the Black Jungle site. Not that it's *wrong* or anything. The only "bad" thing is that it's not "green" or natural. How do you" like the water" over here on this forum? Fine and refreshing to me ![]()
