Hey Guys,
In addition to collecting Dart Frogs, I am also a huge Star Wars fan. I have been collecting action figures and memorabilia for a very long time. I got my first set of action figures for Christmas when I was 5 years old. I every year I take everything out of the storage boxes and lay it out.....just to look at it. This is what it looked like. I wish I had somewhere to display them all. I have all the figures from all 6 movies (except a very few of the vintage figures). All of the prequel movies are still in the box, in mint condition. Not included in the pics, I also have the entire collection of 3" Unleashed figures, as well as all of the the 1" miniatures. I have collected several movie montages, each with film cells clips of the original movie. Most are numbered, and one is signed by the David Prowse, the man that wore the Darth Vader Costume. I was tempted to put it on ebay, to see how much the entire collection was worth, but then decided against it. I couldn't bare to part with it if someone actually won. If anyone has a method of calculation an appraisal for my collection, I'd like to know. Enjoy, Marc Signed by David Prowse, the man that wore the Darth Vader Costume.

Marc you remind me of one of my old co workers. He was obsese with star wars also. But he collected anything to do with star wars. Even when they had the toys that came from like a happy meal he would get all the figures and collect it. Have you ever priced your star wars collection?

Damn!! I had to catch myself, and re-read that. I thought you said "obese". That was the only part of the message I keyed in on. I was like, wow, this guy doesn't know me like that. Then I read it again. I take it that was supposed to be obsessed, right. LMAO
And yeah, I am obsessed....just a lil bit. That was one of my questions; I wanted to know if anyone knew of a method to appraise my collection. Marc Spartcus, check your pm

That's what I plan to do with my collection. Every time I think about selling my collection, I think about how much it will be worth when hhez my age.
I saw a complete set of vintage figures (NIB) that went for over $10k on ebay. Marc

You remind me of the forty year old virgin with a bigger collection. I know for a fact that figurines do go down in price for the first 3-5 years then they pick up after another movie or promotion gig. I collect animation figures but they tend to stay at face value for quite some time then they go way up when they have some type of promotion such as comic con. I would say the recent ones would be 25% less of full price then at a 10 year mark they actually can go up to 200% increase or even higher for more sought after figures like darth maul and some odd ball ones.

Marc, the figures are still relatively new and have just stopped being released in that series. So it will be awhile before they are worth very much more than what you paid for them, BUT if you were successful in getting the rare figures that is a different story. I have almost all the concept figures like Vadar, etc. Han Solo, and Princess Lia is on Ebay, but I am not paying a fortunate for them. The picture frames with the movie cells will be valuable in about 20 years or so, when they become classics if they aren't already. There is still too much footage laying around for them to come back with more cell frames. I say probably in about 20 years you will be sitting on a gold mine. I have comics that are VERY expensive that I bought that I had to sit on for 10 years before they were worth putting in a safe, like 1964 "The shield and the web". Characters before spiderman and captain America if I am not mistaken. The shield was the guy before captian America and C A replaced him before Marvel too over the series. I say hold on to them as they are probably worth as a whole more as you have all the pieces to the puzzle, rather than just half. But any collector knows that. I would say probably anywhere in the range of $16grand or less, but this is a rough estimate based on pictures. I collect way to much stuff. LOL
PS: I would love to have the original series SW figures, as they were made differently than all the new stuff. __________________________________________________ ___________________________ Here's a few of my treasures I love. LOL One is open and the other is still sealed. The Indiana Jones Monopoly was exclusive to Walmart only. The other is an Indiana Jones DVD adventure game that I had to play. What's cool about the Indiana Jones Monopoly was that it was only out for like 2 weeks. They came in late and were discontinued. I watched the price go from $40 to $13 in less than that. It is not open. I know you probably can find them on ebay, but I was hoping when I bought it that it would be a collector's item in the future. I love Indiana Jones, my unborn son's name, who shall be here on or around June 1st, is Conner Harrison lol. ![]() ![]()
