Thanks Mereck.
I feel better, but I still feel like crap from the surgery. As for the weatrher, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Cooking out, family, friends, etc. For my birthday of course, def not for memorial day. I keep my opinion regarding the holiday to myself, because I don't have much good to say.
I will go to the vet memorial ceremony later this evening to pay my respects. Trust me, I've been in a fighting position during the holidays missing my "Real Life" The sh*t sucks. My heart really goes out to the men and women overseas.

I hope everyone that reads this post considers sending a care package to a Soldier or Marine somewhere in the world, particularly Afghanistan or Iraq. Include batteries, old magazines, batteries, music cd, batteries, candy, batteries, oh, and did I mention batteries? They really make the world go round. And include a simple hand written letter. It makes them feel like it's a little more personal.

God Bless our Troops

Thanks

Well I am good to hear that your spirits are good. I would have been a solider but I got hurt one week or so before I was to graduate boot camp in Fort Jackson and that was it. Everything was over. My family, aunts and uncles and cousins were all in or still in the military. So as far as politics I will not share but my respects is a different story.

That is so true Marc sending the things we take for granted here in the states to the troops does make a lot of difference... Some of my Marines that are so hard-core shed tears from pictures sent from families back home, because in every warrior there is a child. God speed and God Bless to the men and women that continue to defend and protect....
