Default I was a little busy this week !

Did the foam background about a month ago and finally finished it using the gorilla glue and coco method . I started layout and planting friday and finished it this afternoon . Its really foggy from the temp difference inside the tank being warmer than the house I guess .

The tank is an old oceanic chameleon lounge 24L x 18W x 24T that I modified by taking the screen sides out and replacing with glass . I need to have a top cut and a lighting system bought for the tank . I think I want to build a misting system for it also .

its planted with caladium humbolti , alocasia elaine , peperomia angulata , pepperomia sp. , two bromeliads , two oncidium orchids , cissus amazonica , and a couple odd cuttings I picked up .

Very cool. Those tanks are built to last. I will say for sure that tank will grow out nicely.

Nice tank... it's funny some people don't like using oceanic tanks but I have 7 27 gallon that were used to house rescued turtles... They are great tanks with thickness to them so you know they will last for years to come... Good luck with the project

Nice set up, and I love the oceanic tank. It's going to be nice when it grows in and seems like an awesome size for PDF's. Just curious as to why you used gorilla glue vs black or brown silicone? It appears the gorilla glue dries clear and thin, allowing you to see the vanilla colored GS thru the coco fiber.

I heard alot of good stuff about it so I gave it a try . My over all experiance with it is good and Im going to use it from now on . Only think is it doesnt stick to great to the smooth surface of the GS so you have to score or cut back the GS so the GG can stick to the course rough great stuff . I think over time once its grown in you won even notice it .

Coool...we can see into the tank now! Nice Viv Jpg. You mentioned about having to cut back the GS so that i can take hold and not come off. I used my hand mister to spray the GS down because water helps it cure faster but when I misted the GS it left little droplets of water and when the little droplets dried it had a really cool texture to it. The droplet mad little divots in the GS. I don't know if it will work but maybe give it a try on a test sample. Just thought I would share

If you put a thick enough layer of silicone, you will lose most of the designs on the GS.
