Nobody follows directions anymore... Since you're here ya might as well read on...
Everyone calls me Kiyi. I am 34 and live in West Central Missouri. I am married and have 3 kids. (10,6,3) I like hunting, fishing, trapping, traditional archery, atlatls, flint knapping, and making custom game calls. I have wanted to keep PDFs for about 16 years. Life got in the way 50,000 times. Sitting here now looking around at 11 tanks up and running (not including the other 4 that the kids stole for gerbils, hamsters, hermit crabs, etc) raising and breeding fish, freshwater shrimps, snails (assassin snails rock!), and crayfish... I am thinking WHERE THE HECK ARE THE FROGS?? For cryin' out loud I already culture 5 types of worms & beetles so why haven't I started some FF? In reality I was waiting to get all the kids in school, and after this "depression" is over I plan on building A house on 10 acres my parents gave me out on their ranch so the grand kids can be closer. Right now I live out in the sticks with no back up power, so that is A must when I build. The power can blip off/on here, and with the right storm can be out for A day or more. It hasn't happened yet since we have been here, but I don't want to be responsible for FFS (frozen frog syndrome) if it does occur. Maybe I am just paranoid, but I don't want to mess up when I do start caring for frogs. So keep posting pics everyone, they help fill the void until I can join you! ~Kiyi |

LOL Welcome to the board! If this was a link that was dangerous Marc would have gotten rid of it already!
BUT I knew this was just to attract people to come look so I came and I saw. LOL Sounds nice to have 10acres. If I had that I would have my green house built and ready for frogs by next year. Well welcome.

Hi Kiyi,
HA! Who do you think you are to telling me what to......I AM THE OFFICIAL LINK CLICKER! JK-That's truly funny. Anyway, welcome to the site. Glad to have you here. That is very responsible of you to wait until you can properly care for your frogs and prevent FFS. All my tanks are in a room with a fire place, just in case there is an outage. I hope to never deal with FFS. Once you get started your gonna have plenty of frogs to fill all those tanks. I have said it may times before. This hobby is very addictive. We will keep the pics coming. ![]() ![]() Enjoy, Again, welcome to the site, Marc

I thought about using "DOWNLOAD CONFLICKER VIRUS HERE" , but I figured everyone would be PO'ed when they found out it wasn't here.
Thanks for the welcome guys. A lot of things have changed in this hobby over the last 16 years. Most importantly I am glad to see the conservation aspects are being addressed within the community. The sharing of information and ideas on the 'net has helped so many. Thanks for A great site. At least nobody said "dang, you're OLD!" ~Kiyi |

You guessed it brother! The full basement will be *almost* all mine. We will probably have one bedroom and one bathroom downstairs. Dropping down from A 4 br to A 3 br will pay for 1/2 the cost of the basement (about). I want my fish/frog room to look like Brian's @ Ohio dart frogs and fish That is A nice set up!
There is already A shed there I am putting A floor into for my workshop. I make custom game calls. Maybe in A year I will be out there. ~K |
