It's been the pit to my bank account... I love it and it's beautiful when your tank is fully stocked with expensive lights, skimmer, bla bla, the list could go on and on... One thing I have been looking for on the board is lighting. I know about T5 and PC as that is what also goes on salt tanks, but honestly, i cant aford to replace 4-$25 bulbs every 9 months. Any good suggestion on a light from Lowes or Home Depot? Nothing fancy, I mean, these are rainforest plants getting filtered light below the canopy, not corals under the blazing Australian sun. The tank is going to be a 20 tall btw. Oh, pics and model numbers with a html link to the website would be AMAZING! Anyone ever try to explain to a Lowes employe what you plan on doing with eggcrate, silicone, some lightbulb and Great Stuff? Its not pretty or easy...

Yeah,, the workers at Lowe's and HD usually have no idea what we are doing and it is very difficult to explain this type of stuff to everyday folk.

Here is a link to a thread with a lighting discussion.

BTW-I used to do saltwater too. I had a 90 gal tank with several different tang species, live rock, etc. I loved my tank, but the margin of error was much smaller if you made a mistake or if something went wrong. And it seemed like I was always dumping tons of cash into my tank. (Yes, one tank!) Where I have many PDF tanks and spend nowhere as much dough. I eventually sold it for much less than I paid for it.

I appreciate everyone here. Without you, there would be no DFF. Thank you for your support.
