They absolutley should have full records of what exact locale they sent oyu. It's pretty important to them, believe me.

i KNEW it! I took a look at Josh's website and saw my frogs! Black Jungle confirmed it.

I have the Bakhuis morph. I've seen more interesting looking morphs but when I bought my frogs i was having a hard time finding ANY frogs to buy! and i LOVE them!

That's what I thought they were as well. Good deal.
If you breed them , let me know and maybe we can work out a trade if you like.

I am definitely going to try. They've only been in the tank together for a couple of months. Should I wait another four months before sticking huts and petri dishes in as well as upping their food?

Any input is welcome.

I'm buying a new thermometer because mine can't be right. It registers the exact same temp all the time. (79) If that turns out to be correct, is it too high?

Humidity is great - almost 85 all the time.

Thanks for all the help,

Julie

What i'm seeing so far is the male doing a lot of calling when they're together. They'll look at each other face to face and he calls. No chasing activity. I guess I'll just sit back and wait for that to start.

Let met know if i need to up their feed, change temp, or anything else.

Thanks again!

BTW I live about 15 miles away from Mt. Prospect. Less than 30 min. I can't wait to go to one of your shows!

Julie,
Generally males mature faster than females , with darts too...kidding. Tinc males can start calling and be ready to breed anywhere from a month or two , to quite a few months before the females are ready to breed. I would have huts in with them right now. It won't hurt. Any idea exactly how old they are?
Temps should be mid 70's or so and yes , it seems your thermom could be broken.
You really should keep feeding them a decent amount all the way through breeding. It is only when you want to cycle them down from breeding , to give them a break, that food and misting should be tapered down.
Read up. Make sure you know who you are reading though because just as anything else in life, consider the source. There's just as much bad info out there as there is good.
